Saxman One is seeking a talented Graphic Artist to provide creative, timely, and high‑quality graphic design and illustration support for projects, events, presentations, and other communications under an HHS Event Logistics Contract. This role is responsible for developing visually compelling materials that effectively communicate key messages, enhance audience engagement, and align with organizational goals.
The Graphic Artist will work closely with meeting organizers, project teams, and subject matter experts to deliver professional, brand‑compliant design products on schedule. As part of this role, the Graphic Artist will also be responsible for understanding and adhering to HHS Section 508 policies and procedures and conducting accessibility testing on graphics and event websites to support federal accessibility requirements.
Responsibilities include conceptualizing and producing a wide range of graphics, supporting event communication needs, and ensuring all materials meet organizational standards and accessibility guidelines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
~Prepare art and graphic design/illustration projects, including layout, editing and typesetting.
~Conceptualize and produce creative designs for trade show booths, exhibits, and related materials.
~Design graphic materials for project presentations and meeting deliverables.
~Provide a variety of art and graphics services, including:
-Design and/or acquire graphics and photographs for meeting announcements, web pages, signages, and other meeting-related materials
-Produce graphics for both digital and print communications
-Ensure all designs meet technical and stylistic requirements, including printer-readiness and compliance with 508 accessibility standards.
~Deliver graphics and artwork within 5 business days of request, unless otherwise specified.
~Collaborate with meeting organizers and project teams to ensure creative outputs meeting project goals, branding standards, and client expectations.
~Support duplication, formatting, and final preparation of graphic assets for publication or presentation.
~Conduct Section 508 accessibility testing on all graphic and digital assets, including event websites,
perform or guide required remediations, and ensure remediations are completed within appropriate
timeframes.
~Support quality assurance reviews to verify deliverables meet government standards.
~Support process improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and consistency of team operations.
~Understand and apply security rules and regulations regarding meetings, including requirements to
protect personally identifiable information collected via the contract.
~Complete and sign timesheet in a timely manner, accurately tracking and logging hours within the
appropriate charge codes.
This position offers an annual salary in the range of $95,000 to $105,000 commensurate with candidate's relevant experience, education, and skills.*
